Brad Nye is a social entrepreneur and founder/CEO of WeVu, a web-based service that helps anyone organize a ‘collective viewing’ gathering around their favorite films, television shows or online content.
As a seasoned events producer, Nye has produced more than 700 networking and educational events in the arts, media and technology sectors, including over 100 film screenings and discussions.
As a social architect/community builder, Nye has founded and operated two successful organizations: VIC, a 3,000-member technology trade association in Southern California and Artsfest, which advanced the arts by curating over one
hundred events annually in multiple locations across the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition, Nye was the founder of the Burning Man theme camp, ‘Red Lightning’; launched the event space, ‘The Nexus’, in Richmond; on the founding
teams of TEDxMarin and TEDxBlackRockCity; and founded and produces the annual LA tech industry holiday party, Digital Family Reunion.
As a marketing professional, Nye spent fifteen years in entertainment industry-related marketing, promotion, licensing and merchandising, including management roles at Twentieth Century Fox and Universal Pictures. Nye is a graduate of UC Berkeley.
