Dana has lived and worked internationally for nearly a decade as an independent photojournalist and media producer. She co-founded Mortal Coil Media in 2007 and produced a series of creative documentaries – telling stories from the margins with sensitivity and integrity. Though still focussed on themes of social justice, environmental reverence and peace building, she has shifted energy toward organizing events and documenting the efforts of soulutionaries as we transition to a more resilient society. This includes active engagement in the coastal Transition Town collectives, board membership with Salish Sea Productions, and stewardship with Gaiacraft – an international collective of permaculturists engaged in ecological outreach.

She believes deeply in community council using non-violent communication techniques, grounding in with nature, and the healing power of regular meditation, love and compassion for all our relations.

She is currently completing an advanced Permaculture Design Diploma in media throughPermaculture Institute USA, while co-creating an ecovillage on the Sunshine Coast, BC.
