Ishka Lha was born in 1982, and grew up on a ranch atop the rolling hills of northern California. She has been making art for as long as she can remember, and received significant artistic instruction and encouragement from her mother and father, both professional artists and architects. At university, she earned a Professional B.A. in Architecture, but promptly set her course for a career as a fine artist after graduation. She realized what she most wanted was to design new worlds on canvas. Ishka’s art explores and celebrates the natural radiance inherent in all dimensions of life through the use of neo-traditional iconography, geometry, dreams, ritual, legend, and prophecy. She is especially interested in what archetypes and mythologies can most govern our passage through time into greater awareness and heartfelt livelihood. She is part of a growing visionary art movement that is dedicated to the happiness of all beings, and approaches her creative process as a spiritual practice. Her work is primarily featured in private collections, galleries, gift shops, and transformational art and music festivals throughout the U.S. and abroad.
