Since 2008 Melora has provided vision, strategic planning and organizational development to Recode, serving as a community organizer, project manager, executive director and now as an advisory council member. Before becoming an environmental activist, Melora was a social worker for 12 years. She has traveled to 37 different countries learning about the variety of cultural approaches to life and about universally shared human values and needs. She attended the International Permaculture Convergences in Brazil and Africa and was one of the organizers of the second and third Women’s Permaculture Gatherings. Melora believes that bringing more intention and tools to group interaction will significantly increase the effectiveness of those groups. She consults with individuals and groups to increase the productivity and enjoyment of their work through holistic organizational design. She has lived in Portland OR since 1996, she is dedicated to her wonderful city and to the regenerative evolution of the world.
