Wren’s journey into service and earth stewardship has led him through theater, Vaudeville, the circus, and festival culture. Through it all, his love of dance has guided his evolution and rests at the core of his passion for life. His work with Stacey Printz at The Branson School, gave him a diverse foundational training. Apprenticing with Actors Theater of Louisville from 2003-04 showed him what goes into running a successful repertory theater. In 2007, following completion of his degree in Drama and Dance at the University of Washington, he created The Harlequin Hipsters, a Vaudevillian partner dance troupe culminating in the ensemble dance theater variety production, “Passion, or Death!”. Turning towards teaching full time in 2011 answering a call to service, Wren created Nomad Dance envisioning a sustainable, collaborative global culture through dancing together. At present he co-creates Nomad Dance with his partner, Antje, as they synthesize authentic communication and relating practices with mindfulness, and partnered movement into a unique living teaching called Cocréa. He participates with organizations such as Tribal Convergence Network (www.tribalconvergence.com), Oregon Country Fair, GeneKeys.net, is a celebrated TEDx speaker and continues to bridge communities internationally. His work has been called “the next evolution of conscious dance.”
